Held every March to align with the global agenda of International Women’s Day, LLC provides a high-level, future-focused environment where leaders strengthen their governance capacity, expand their strategic networks, and gain practical insights to excel in rapidly evolving economic, technological, and regulatory landscapes.
The International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026 theme, “Inspiring Women Leaders for Sustainable Transformation,”emphasizes urgency and momentum in advancing gender equality, women’s rights, and leadership opportunities. This theme resonates strongly with AWAK’s mission to cultivate accountability, inspire leadership, and foster lasting impact in society. Held annually in March to coincide with International Women’s Day (IWD), the conference serves as a strategic platform to reflect on the progress made, address persistent challenges, and chart a course for future leadership and professional excellence.
Despite commendable strides in women’s participation in leadership, representation gaps persist in governance, corporate boards, entrepreneurship, and finance. Barriers such as limited access to resources, systemic biases, mental health challenges, and economic inequalities continue to slow progress. At the same time, emerging challenges—digital transformation, climate change, youth unemployment, and global economic shifts—demand that women leaders take bold, innovative, and urgent actions.
The 11th LLC will therefore serve as a timely call to give to gain: to inspire, equip, and mobilize women leaders to drive accountability, strengthen governance, embrace innovation, and foster inclusive growth particularly in the face of rapid technological and economic shifts.
